Tip #201 is so right on. I have three kids that play hockey (and other sports) and core strength is so critical. I found a great hockey training aid that targets core strength for hockey players. It is a balance beam that can be used while stick handling. I found it at a site ( http://www.snipersedge.com ) that has some pretty cool hockey training aids. Josh Oult
Right on Josh, not only is core critical for the development of "hockey muscles" but for all athletic movement muscles as well. You can't be a true athlete and have a weak core.
My gym is filled with all sorts of training aids that I have built myself. I build them to save cost and to target specific needs for certain athletes. Balance beams are a great tool for athletes to have in their garage and use daily.
