Daily Training Tip #924
Lunges are a great exercise for hockey players to complete. You can do lunges, skater lunges, side lunges and reverse lunges. Make sure your knee stops directly above your ankle and does not extend past your toes. Sink you hips down and keep your chest up.
Joe has spent the last ten (10) summers working at Minnesota Hockey Camps. The last five (5) years he has made the commitment to live and work the camp all year around. He has dedicated his life to helping young athletes achieve their goals through hard work and dedication. Joe is in charge of the weightoom and oversees all plyometric/strength workouts and training activities at the camp.
Joe recieved his degree in Kinesiology-Exercise Management from UW-Eau Claire and his Masters in Sports Management from St. Cloud State University. While at St. Cloud, he was the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Men's and Women's Hockey Teams. After St. Cloud, he moved to Philadelphia, PA where he was the Manager of Summit Sports Training Center. Since Philadelphia, he has worked at Minnesota Hockey Camps helping to develope players eight (8) years old all the way up to the pros.
Joe is certified through the National Strength & Conditioning Association.
