Daily Training Tip #1020
When training with Medicine Balls, make sure you change up the weight of the ball on different days. One day use a heavier ball and focus on strength. The next day use a lighter ball and focus on explosiveness. You could even change it up during the workout itself.
Joe has spent the last ten (10) summers working at Minnesota Hockey Camps. The last five (5) years he has made the commitment to live and work the camp all year around. He has dedicated his life to helping young athletes achieve their goals through hard work and dedication. Joe is in charge of the weightoom and oversees all plyometric/strength workouts and training activities at the camp.
Joe recieved his degree in Kinesiology-Exercise Management from UW-Eau Claire and his Masters in Sports Management from St. Cloud State University. While at St. Cloud, he was the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Men's and Women's Hockey Teams. After St. Cloud, he moved to Philadelphia, PA where he was the Manager of Summit Sports Training Center. Since Philadelphia, he has worked at Minnesota Hockey Camps helping to develope players eight (8) years old all the way up to the pros.
Joe is certified through the National Strength & Conditioning Association.
